A Summer Wedding at Amala Sanctuary & Why I Updated My Planning Services
"Lisa, thank you so much. This was our dream wedding, and we couldn't have done it without you."
Those are the words that remind me why I love what I do.
As a wedding planner in Austin, there is nothing more rewarding than watching months of planning come together into a day that feels effortless, joyful, and completely meaningful to each couple. Rutvik and Vimohi's June wedding at Amala Sanctuary was especially beautiful because it was the first wedding where I fully implemented my newly updated planning services - and it confirmed exactly why I made the change.
A More Collaborative Planning Experience
Over the past year, I've been thinking a lot about how I can better support my couples. While wedding planning is often associated with timelines and logistics, it's also an emotional journey. The earlier I can become part of that journey, the more intentionally I can guide, support, and advocate for my couples throughout the process.
Rather than stepping in closer to the wedding day, my updated planning services allow us to work together much earlier. That means more opportunities to refine the vision, solve challenges before they become stressful, and create a wedding that truly reflects who my couples are.
Working with Rutvik and Vimohi reminded me just how valuable that collaborative approach can be. Although we had less than a month before their wedding, we built trust quickly, and by the end of the planning process, I genuinely felt like I was celebrating alongside friends rather than simply coordinating an event.
A Thoughtfully Planned Summer Wedding
Hosting an outdoor wedding in Austin during June takes thoughtful planning, and guest comfort became one of the couple's highest priorities.
Set beneath the beautiful oak trees at Amala Sanctuary, their intimate celebration welcomed around 40 guests, creating a relaxed atmosphere where everyone felt connected.
Every decision reflected intentionality. They chose an elegant palette of sage green and white that complemented the natural beauty of the venue beautifully. To help guests stay comfortable in the summer heat, they incorporated a tent for shade, misting fans, handheld fans, umbrellas, comfortable cushioned seating, refreshing beverages upon arrival, and a delicious vegetarian menu.
It was a beautiful reminder that hospitality isn't about extravagance - it's about making people feel cared for.
Grateful for Wonderful Couples
Throughout the day, you could feel the love surrounding Rutvik and Vimohi. Their kindness, excitement, and genuine appreciation made this wedding incredibly special, and it was such an honor to help bring their vision to life.
This experience also reaffirmed why I evolved my planning services. By creating a more collaborative experience from the very beginning, I'm able to support my couples with greater intention, provide more meaningful guidance, and help make the planning process feel less overwhelming and far more enjoyable.
To Rutvik and Vimohi, thank you for trusting me with such an important chapter of your lives. It was truly a joy to celebrate alongside you.
And thank you to the incredible vendor team below whose talent and dedication helped bring every thoughtful detail to life.
I'm so excited to continue serving couples in this new way and to help create weddings filled with joy, ease, and unforgettable moments.
