A Mindful Wedding at Living Waters on Lake Travis: Where Nature Meets Romance
As a mindful wedding planner based in the heart of Austin, I’m always on the lookout for venues that do more than just host a celebration—they hold space for deep connection, intentional beauty, and soulful moments. Nestled along the serene banks of Lake Travis, Living Waters is one such rare gem. Immensely romantic and exceptionally unique, the enchanted grounds at Living Waters are the ideal backdrop for a whimsical, fairy-tale wedding.
A Place for Unforgettable Unions
Imagine sharing tender, quiet moments as you prepare for your monumental day—bathing in nature’s calm before stepping into sacred vows. Picture saying “I do” surrounded by loved ones, beneath a canopy of trees or under a star-speckled sky. At Living Waters, your ceremony flows with ease and grace, anchored by nature’s beauty and the intentional stillness that surrounds you. This is where unforgettable ceremonial unions are made.
From the dreamy floating cabin on the water to the romantic hammocks tucked beneath the trees, every inch of the grounds feels like an invitation to slow down and savor. The outdoor pavilion, landscaped courtyard with a firepit, and multiple decks for cocktails or sunset toasts offer versatile spaces that foster connection and celebration.
A Weekend of Celebration, Connection & Joy
What makes Living Waters truly exceptional is the way it invites you to stretch your wedding into a full weekend retreat. With exclusive access to seven distinct properties accommodating up to 22 overnight guests, couples and their families can immerse themselves in the joy of togetherness from Friday through Sunday.
The weekend retreat model gives you time to set up with care, decorate with intention, and clean up without pressure. Plus, the spacious La Casa De Joy provides an indoor space for gatherings and meals, perfect for cozy pre-wedding dinners or post-ceremony brunches.
And for those magical pre-wedding or post-vow moments? Onsite kayaks, paddleboards, and canoes offer a playful touch, while optional private yoga sessions or massages allow you to stay grounded and centered. You can even stroll to the nearby Stonehouse Vineyards—just a four-minute walk—for wine tastings and sweet escapes.
More Than Just Weddings
Living Waters is also an ideal location for marriage proposals—whether it’s an intimate moment for two or a surprise weekend celebration with family and friends. Their team is warm, flexible, and genuinely invested in helping you craft a moment that reflects your love story.
Beyond weddings and proposals, the venue also supports workshops and retreats, offering consulting and even complimentary promotion on their social media channels.
